What the extension does on your device

• Reads the transcript of the YouTube video you choose to summarize, and builds a prompt from it.
• Opens claude.ai and pastes that prompt so Claude can summarize it. Your summary lives in your own Claude chat history — not with us.
• Stores two things locally in your browser (chrome.storage): your license key and a random device id. These never leave your device except for license checks (below).

The extension only acts on videos you explicitly click. It does not read your browsing history, watch you across sites, or run analytics.

What we receive on our servers

• When you buy: payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your email address and the amount paid, and we store them with your generated license key. We never see or store your card details — Stripe does.
• When the extension activates: it sends your license key and the random device id to skipwatching.com to confirm the key is valid and within its device limit. We store that pairing to enforce the limit. No transcript, video, or browsing data is ever sent to us.
• Email: we send your receipt and license key to the email address you provided at checkout. Your email is used only for that and for support replies.

What we never do

• No selling or sharing of your data with advertisers.
• No tracking pixels, no analytics SDKs, no ad networks.
• No collection of the contents of videos, transcripts, or your Claude conversations on our servers.

Data you can remove

Removing the extension deletes the locally stored license key and device id. To have your purchase record (email + license key) deleted from our database, email us and we’ll remove it.
